SIMPLIFY YOUR LIFE

Did you know the first week of August is National Simplify Your Life Week? Below are a few tips on how you can simplify your life:

Set Boundaries – If you feel overwhelmed at times, you can make changes if possible or simply say “no”.

Save Money – Consider a financial budget. For example, saving just $10 a week is a great way to have some cash on hand in case of an emergency or wanting to splurge on a girl’s night out or day at the spa.

Declutter – Set structure by organizing your workspace, closet, and home. Get rid of clothing or items you haven’t used in a while.  Focus on small things you can fix and prioritize what’s important. This gives you motivation and a sense of control. When you reduce clutter physically, you create mental compartmentalization and an overall positive outlook to simplify your life.

Set Time for Yourself Daily – Set time for yourself even if it is 10 minutes. During this time you can meditate or listen to relaxing music. At the end of the day-recap, reorganize your thinking, and rest. It is important to consider taking small increments of time especially at the beginning and end of each day.

Support System – Surround yourself with people who are positive and provide support to you in some way. Also being a support system to others is important as well. But remember boundaries…

Those are a few tips on how you can Simplify Your Life. Just jump in and start! It’s progression not perfection that is the roadmap to a simple yet serene mindset.
